Filomena's Restaurant

Filomena Cucina is one of Philadelphia's and South Jersey Area's finest Italian restaurants. From elegant fine dining, to a casual, intimate night out-on-the-town, Filomena Cucina has just the right atmosphere for any occasion. Owner Giuseppe DiVentura, originally from the central Italian region of Abruzzi and Executive Chef Matthew Selenski have created an inspired Trattoria restaurant with a rustic central Italian and Modern Italian menu.

Filomena Cucina Rustica offers different seating options an attractive main dining room; a small dining area lined with booths and banquets; a private chef's table; and less formal country-yard cafe; a large bar area with additional dining and an outdoor patio. The welcoming main dining room features textured walls, totally painted to resemble Tuscan stucco. The room is softly lit by wall scones, accent lighting and a fireplace. In a smaller 55-seat dining area, guests sit in cozy booths with rustic wooden tables surrounded by original poster-sized Italian advertisements. 

Guests may enjoy a cocktail and Italian digestive or dine al fresco in the 32 seat bar area overlooking the outdoor patio. The 30 seat courtyard cafe has stone block walls, a lead lions fountain, greenery and comfortable rattan furniture.

The private 12-seat Chef's table area faces the open kitchen where guests can view the cooking process. The partially enclosed area is canopied by trees and is beautifully appointed with a large hand-hewn Oak Wood Table on stone pedestals, beautifully upholstered, high back chairs, and a hand blown glass and iron chandelier.

When Giuseppe's family came to America more than forty years ago, they brought with them their talent for making the world famous cuisine of Abruzzi. Today, many of Filomena's incredible Central Italian dishes originate form old family recipes.

Filomena Cucina Rustica, you will find a menu of simple and flavorful Italian dishes along with more modern fare. Appetizers include stuffed Roman artichokes, Burratta cheese, grilled Portobello topped with jumbo lump crab meat  and a variety of pizzas baked in the restaurant's own brick oven such as Arugula pizza topped with shaved Parmesan cheese, marinated tomatoes, garlic and baby arugula.
